Just thot - are you successful only if others acknowledge you as being successful or is it enough if you have pushed the envelope and done the best you could.....
I think it is a mixture of both...

This is SRK himself- whom I managed to catch while waiting at one of the domestic airports... He was so charming and kept apologising to people about the disturbance he was causing...." I am so sorry, I apologise"...... its another matter that his security guards threw me off when I was in the way.... but totally worth it!!! I love you SRK.

So Sunday was one of the best days of my life... it was the annual Mumbai Marathon and as is custom my sister and I went to "participate" in it from the side lines.... and ofcourse we had the 3 year old Baby George in tow for whom it was the first time he heard the word "Marathon".... so throughout in the car, Baby George kept muttering "Marathon""Marathon""Marathon"... infact when asked his name, he replied .......... "Marathon" ! His elder brother was ofcourse now too old to be taken in by the festivities and kept asking me when I would take him to see Avatar....
And as soon as we hit the road, it was as if Baby George was possessed... he started running towards the finish line (not that he knew where it was)... but he kept following the crowd and kept screaming at his mother and his aunt for slowing him down... he ran all of 0.2 meters and then stopped and asked to be picked up by him mom.... I did see the spark of a budding marathonite in him...... maybe next year I will do the half marathon with Baby George as my running buddy.... hopefully we will cover more than 0.2 metrs.... he he..

Conversation between Christy and his classmate, Niladri:
Christy to me: You know, at the tennis court they call Niladri, "Lilavati"... hahahah
Niladri: My name is Niladri, NOT Lilavati!!
Christy: Lilavati, Lilavati, Lilavati!!
Niladri: If you call me that, I will call you "Chemistry" instead of Chrity.
Christy: Arre, at least I am calling you the name of a BIG hospital in Mumbai. You cant call me something silly like Chemistry.

Every year I make a list of things I want to accomplish.... ofcourse most often the list remains a mental list and I never bother to revisit it ever again...
Except for 2009 when I achieved more than half of what I had intended for 2009... not bad for a person who has very low commitment levels....
2010 - list cometh....
It was a 10 day wait before I met Baby George after the new year started.... so when I finally saw him ( I was walking down from my office steps towards the car where he was waiting with his mom and brother), Baby George immediately clasped his mouth in excitement !!! ofcourse when I went to pick him up he promptly acted really busy and ran away.....
Ahhh... 2010 is not starting out too bad ....
