I was watching a TV advertisement where two women are waiting for the school bus to arrive.... and one woman pips the other one about the washing powder that she uses... boasts that her soap powder gives fragrance and also "safedi".... what more can you ask for?
And all along my brain was screaming "YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE YOU CAN ASK FOR??" A LIFE!!! I mean how petty do you have to be to fight about washing powder!!! You have no sense of what is important in life when you start fighting over a soap powder..... and I thanked my lucky stars that I dont have people like that in my life....
But then I thought to myself... wait a minute ... I am surrounded by overgrown kids.... who boast about the cars, houses, holidays, husbands/wives, family connections all the time.... oneupmanship is the name of the game... so what essentially is the difference between the women in the advertisement and the people surrounding me??? nothing except that ...the latter dont have an excuse.... They should be knowing better....
Wellllllll.... I was in NY last week.... and had the most amazing 5 days there.... New York is a bigger version of Mumbai.... it has the same energy, same hustle bustle and if you know the places it has the best that the world can offer.... I loved the city.... almost as much as I love Mumbai... now I can see the similarity....
